About Burmatown

Burmatown is a Burmese restaurant that brings a distinctive and welcoming dining experience to guests looking for something beyond the usual familiar options. As both a Burmese restaurant and an Asian fusion restaurant, it offers a style of cooking that reflects depth, balance, and variety, with flavors that can feel bright, savory, aromatic, and comforting all at once. For diners who want a meal that is memorable without being overly complicated, it provides an inviting place to explore dishes inspired by Burmese food traditions while also embracing broader Asian influences.

The atmosphere at Burmatown is shaped by a casual yet polished personality that makes it suitable for a wide range of occasions. It is the kind of place where someone can stop in for a relaxed lunch, settle in for dinner with friends, or enjoy a solo meal with ease. The setting is described as cozy, lively, and trendy, which suggests a space that feels current and active while still remaining comfortable. Because the restaurant is known for fast service, guests can expect an efficient experience that works well for both quick meals and longer visits. People typically spend anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours there, which reflects its flexibility for different dining styles and schedules.

Burmatown stands out for its thoughtful menu variety. Guests can find comfort food alongside healthier choices, small plates, vegan options, vegetarian options, and dessert. This range makes the restaurant appealing to groups with different preferences, as well as to diners who want a meal built around personal dietary choices. The inclusion of local specialty items adds a sense of place and identity, helping the restaurant feel rooted in its own culinary perspective rather than presenting a generic fusion approach. Alcohol, beer, and wine are available as well, making it possible to pair food with a drink and turn a simple meal into a more complete outing. The presence of a bar onsite further supports that experience.

Accessibility and convenience are also important parts of the Burmatown experience. The restaurant offers wheelchair accessible entrance, parking, restroom, and seating, which helps make the space usable for more guests. It also supports several dining formats, including dine-in, takeout, delivery, no-contact delivery, onsite services, and table service. That flexibility is especially valuable for people who want the same food in different ways, whether they prefer to eat in the restaurant, pick up a meal to go, or have it delivered to their home. The fact that reservations are accepted is another benefit, especially since there is usually a wait, indicating that the restaurant is often in demand.

The practical details reinforce its appeal as a reliable dining destination. Credit cards, debit cards, and NFC mobile payments are accepted, which makes transactions simple and convenient. Parking options include free street parking and a paid parking lot, giving guests multiple choices depending on availability. Altogether, Burmatown presents itself as a restaurant that combines flavorful Burmese-inspired cuisine, modern dining convenience, and a welcoming environment for many kinds of guests. Its strong reputation is reflected in its high rating and large number of reviews, showing that it has built trust with diners who appreciate quality, consistency, and a distinctive food experience.

The food is always really good, but the Crispy Angel Wings are probably my favorite. That sweet, flavorful sauce they put on the wings is honestly one of the best sauces I’ve ever had on chicken wings. The Tea Leaf Salad is also something I really enjoy, especially watching them make it table-side. Everything has so much flavor and there’s always something a little different about the dishes here compared to your typical restaurant. The service was good too. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The only thing I’d mention is that the restaurant can get pretty loud and the tables are fairly close together, so it can feel a little crowded when it’s busy. But honestly, that wouldn’t stop me from coming back. Quality ingredients you can tell they don’t use Cisco like food.

Burmatown was packed when we visited β€” we were quoted a 13–28 minute wait that turned into almost an hour, so be prepared if you’re coming during peak times. We ordered quite a spread: angel wings, tea leaf salad, duck curry, BBQ pork garlic noodles, pork curry, beef curry, platha, and several bowls of coconut rice. Overall, the meal was flavorful and comforting, with a few standout dishes. The duck curry and coconut rice were amazing β€” easily the highlights of the meal. Honestly, I could eat endless bowls of that coconut rice. The tea leaf salad was also very good and actually more generous in portion than expected. The angel wings were nicely sauced, though the marinade itself didn’t seem to penetrate deeply into the meat (which may have been intentional). The platha was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. As for the curries, they were all enjoyable but had fairly similar flavor profiles β€” you could distinguish the meats more if you slowed down and really paid attention to the details. The BBQ pork garlic noodles were solid and paired well with the richer dishes. Overall, a good meal with some standout comfort dishes, especially the duck curry. Just expect a wait and a

We grabbed a post shopping lunch at Burmatown, and couldn't be happier. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., just before their post-lunch pause before dinner. Not to worry, the food came quickly and we were well warned before the kitchen shut down. We had a quick lunch, sharing 2 dishes. First was Silken Cold Tofu Salad ($16). We were warned that this wasn't really a salad (no lettuce), but went ahead. A large block of soft tofu covered with pickled vegetables and a delicious mΓ©lange of spices. Very good, but shockingly cold, as advertised. Next was BBQ Pork BBQ Garlic Noodles ($18). This was a smooth rendition of this classic dish. The BBQ pork was the star here, being plentiful and delicious. The garlic, if it was there, was not noticeable. I love garlic, so I was somewhat disappointed. This was a small meal, but we took half of the noodles home. So the portions were adequate.

I couldn’t stop saying β€œwow!” the entire meal. Food was incredible. Make sure to order the Tea Leaf Salad. Do not miss this place!

This little spot held so much warmth - you can feel the calm immediately as you walk through the doors. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was delicious. Many dishes were also offered as vegetarian or vegan. Their recipes use butter and you can detect the rich flavor in the samosas and other dishes. The proportions were just right, the space was not overly bright but the tables had their own cute little lamp. Despite the limited size of the venue, there was plenty of seating with booths and tables. Will be back πŸ™Œ
